Here’s a picture of me (top) and Spanky (bottom) offloading cod at Chatham in summer 2007. This pic was taken by a tourist (thanks!) and found on Flickr. It shows us dumping a tote of codfish into the hopper. A full hopper holds about 700 lbs. of fish. Once full, it is raised by a winch and dumped down a ramp onto a sorting table where the fish are sorted by size and type.
