Here is a nice 8 point Cape Cod whitetail deer, a buck. You can see his antlers in detail including the velvet that covers his antlers. This picture was taken in August. Later in the year he will shed this velvet covering and rub his antlers on small trees (usually conifers around here) leaving his mark around his home territory. This is the same buck as in this trail camera picture.
