This is me in my younger days when I drove a tuna harpoon boat. Years ago we used to fish all summer right in Cape Cod Bay. At that time the bay was loaded with giant tuna and there was no need to travel. Of course back then there were only a few boats (about a dozen) that fished full time for bluefin tuna. In the photo I am holding the tuna’s spiny dorsal fin out so some tourists can get a picture.
