catching a striper
Here Chucky is reeling in a striper from the boat landing just South of Highbank Bridge. Bottom fishing in Bass River with cut bait in early Spring can be productive. We were using herring chunks and catching striped bass. The one he caught here wasn’t a keeper, but a nice early season fish. The smaller stripers usually show up earlier than the big ones, but after a long snowy winter any fish is a good fish.
