Here is a striped bass caught just south of Highbank Bridge from the dock at the boat ramp. Not quite a keeper, this striper was caught on a chunk of cut bait (herring) in early May of 2002. There is a parking area on the Yarmouth side of the bridge. You can fish from the bridge or the embankment along the sides of the river. This is also a popular fly fishing spot. Most fly fishermen fish just south of the boat landing where the Bass River bends to the West.
