Those sparkling Irish eyes that are smiling in the well-known song are matched by the bright smiling aspect of Cape Cod as it lies beneath a summer sky whose sun makes the waters dance for joy. Again, they are matched by the brilliance of beauty of Cape Cod when a summer gale has passed and the blue canopy of heaven replaces the scudding clouds of wind and rain.

How glorious it is then to stroll along the beaches so lately swept by the waves and to smell the clean, fresh air and see how sweet and fine all the great open spaces and the highways and byways of this vacation mecca are.

Some places may look bedraggled and bereft after visitation by a heavy rain or even a soft summer gale. Not so Cape Cod. Virtually an island, born of a glacier, shaped by the surrounding sea, Cape Cod is a child of the sea and knows all its moods. Beautiful even under the lashings that the sea imposes on all coastal land, Cape Cod comes up smiling every time. No wonder its inhabitants love it. No wonder that hosts of delighted summer visitors return here season after season.
