Getting to Cape Cod from Logan Airport & Public Transportation
Here are a couple questions I received from a visitor coming to Cape Cod from Europe regarding transportation from Boston to the Cape and the availability of public transportation on Cape Cod.
We are coming from Europe. Is public transport (like Amtrak or greyhound) from Boston’s Logan Airport to Cape Cod possible?
Bus service is available from Logan Airport to Cape Cod. MassPort has a list of bus companies that run to and from Logan and Cape Cod. Plymouth & Brockton (or P&B) also runs bus services between the Cape and Logan.
At this time there is no Amtrak railroad or train service to Cape Cod from Boston. In 2008, the Cape Cod Central Railroad proposed to run several trips each day from Cape Cod to the Lakeville Middleboro station, where passengers could catch the state’s commuter rail to Boston, but it is not running yet.
Do you have a public transport (bus, taxi) in the Cape Cod area?
Many thanks for your answer
You are welcome. I hope you have a safe trip and great time.
