An Unusual Magnet
In countless ways Provincetown is a magnet that attracts thousands and thousands of visitors to itself every year. Down to the town at the tip of the Cape come visitors from every part of the nation, “to New England, to Massachusetts, to Cape Cod, to the Cape Tip.”
It seems as though such visitors are determined to get to what may seem to them to be the very heart of the Cape. Or they may wish to realize the satisfaction of having actually traversed and seen all the length of the Cape. Romance, history, legend, natural beauty, the tang of the salt air, the fresh beauty of the blue sea, the lapping waves, the feeling that here are no confining bounds of city buildings and bustling througnfares, but an openness and sense of freedom that they have longed for and now realize.
These seem to be some of the factors that give power to Provincetown as an unusual magnet for drawing visitors from everywhere.
